GARLIC PARMESAN POPCORN 

Garlic Parmesan Popcorn is a quick, healthy, and budget-friendly snack that's easy to make. Customizable and gluten-free, it's perfect for movie nights or gatherings. Enjoy a delicious treat with simple ingredients and no artificial additives.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

Instructions

Pop the Popcorn:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the popcorn kernels to the pot and cover with a lid.
  • Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning. The popcorn will start popping within a few minutes.
  • Once the popping slows down to a few seconds between pops, remove the pot from heat.

Prepare the Garlic Butter:

  • While the popcorn is popping, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Combine and Season:

  • Pour the popped popcorn into a large bowl.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter evenly over the popcorn, tossing to coat.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and optional dried herbs and red pepper flakes over the popcorn.
  • Toss the popcorn again to distribute the seasoning evenly.

Serve:

  • Transfer the popcorn to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately!
